Known for going above and beyond his role as a publicist and truly investing his expertise into his clients’ ventures, Greg has spent 25 years in the food and wine industry in various roles including service, PR, consulting and special events to hone his knowledge in the restaurant world he is so passionate about. Greg attributes his start as a restaurant publicist to his mentor Joan Luther, a legend in the Los Angeles food world, helping promote nearly every major chef in LA over a career that started in the ’40s at the Brown Derby.
Notably, Starbucks credits the frappuccino recipe to Greg! He invented the frappuccino in 1995 while he was an assistant manager of a Starbucks store on Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade. His cool new take on coffee created for Starbucks was launched on April Fool’s Day in 1995. Greg received an award from Starbucks for his contribution.
